Can someone explain the difference between M4 and non M4 on an AR rifle? Also M4 feed rails and the like. Trying to get up to speed on this .thanx

An "M4" AR is one that is a clone of the M4. 14.5" barrel, carbine length gas, collapsible stock ect.

M4 feedramps (not rails) are cut into the receiver/extension so it feeds better, but it is quite useless if you are not going full auto. however it is good to have. M4 also have the M4 profile, where the barrel has that distinct shape
