Some schools get it for free. If your school is on the MSDN Academic Alliance, you can get it for free. (Marshall Students @ USC, for example)

yep I get the same thing from the SDSU engineering dept. lots of great stuff for free!

Thats Office 2007, not Windows 7. There is a link to Windows 7 Professional on the bottom though.

Just FYI but the Windows 7 Professional offered is an upgrade so you'll need XP or Vista to upgrade. I discovered it after I used my wife's med school account to order. No biggie since we have XP. 7 is pretty sweet :D

Is there any limitation? I remember when there was another similar deal to upgrade to Win 7 Premium you had to have at least Vista Premium and my budget laptop that I bought 3 years ago only came with Vista Basic :(

One copy per EDU email address and you'll need XP or Vista to upgrade from.

If you add the disk for $13, you can do a clean install w/out XP or Vista.
