View Full Version : Is this a real stripped lower?

A freind of mine had an old airsoft gun with a bushmaster lower. Im not expert so i dont know if its fake or not. It fits steel mags well but a little tight with PMags. His dad bought it for him probobaly about 6+ years ago and said he didnt have to register it but claims that it is a real lower. Thats the part that made me iffy if its real or not. But anyhoo heres some pics.

Looks like an angular piece of metal is missing where the pistol grip goes.

what is the safety attached to?

its hard to tell with 40px fotos, but i would have to agree that its missing the grip attachment. im gonna say no.

I see a fake auto sear hole.

Part of the agreement between airsoft companies and BATFE is that none of their components can be used to mfg a real firearm. So, I'm going to guess that your friend will be sorely disappointed when he buys a LPK, stock assembly and complete upper to put together his Bushmaster AR.

But it's nice to see there are still dreamers out there.

That thing is jacked up. The auto sear hole is there, the shelf is milled out, no place to attach the pistol grip, a hole for the trigger that is 3 times too big, and I'm sure that is just a start.

Bad news all around.

Don't look like it's going to work. Nothing to mount the pistol grip to, FCG holes look too big.

plus Bushmaster would have something to say about Koharry or Tamooki making Real Lowers with their snake logo on it.
