Saw some people talking about this optic the other day. Thought you might be interested. I like the optic, but I don't like the way it co-witnesses with my irons.

I literally just got it so I haven't done much aside from mount it on my AR.

I actually got it for my VZ-58, but I'm waiting for a VZ-Scout mount before i can actually put it on there.

I'm used to my Eotech so the tube is a bit small for me, but I think that's just something that I've become accustomed to. The dot is bright enough to be seen in daylight, but not as bright as the brightest level on my Eotech.

When I get it mounted and taken to the range, I'll write a bit more. I just thought some people might want to see how it looks mounted.

Wait..Is it just a dot? In the 3rd pic it almost looks like it has an Eotech reticle. How much did you get it for and where?

Booshanky did you ever get that grip wrap figured out for your VZ? Also please do give a review on how it holds up on a 7.62 I'm thinking of picking one up for my AK.

It's just a dot - I think you're seeing a little blooming action from the lens. You can get those for $80 right now at Primary Arms. I just picked up a Gen 2 model to test out on my 870 - they are supposedly really sturdy, but we'll see how it holds up!

I'm going to try my Gen 2 (that I just got in the mail) on my Draco AK pistol - I'll report back after a solid day of shooting...

Cool thanks djleisure! Anyone have a report on how long these batteries last and how they hold up to nasty weather?

That's what I got, yeah.

Are the blems the only ones they are currently offering? I'd like to try one out but from what I understand the "blem" is that once they unscrew the base to put the riser on that the seal is broken and could lead to fogging issues. Are they just blowing out the old inventory in anticipation of the Gen 4 coming in?

Yeah, their entire order came back screwed up (from what I understand) and now they are just trying to get rid of them... and you're right about the possible fogging issue if you switch mounts. The main reason I didn't mind getting one of these is because I'm not planning on using a high-mount. This will either sit low on my Rem 870 or Draco AK pistol AND it's a good, cheap way to see how these hold up...

I have the Gen 2 sitting on my desk right here and from what I can tell, it is very well made... will post up actual usage results later...

What is it you don't like about the cowitness? It's supposed to be lower 1/3, right?

Is it an issue with your irons or the red dot itself?

I have the Micro Dot also but haven't installed irons yet, so just curious.

Found more info here...

It's not SUPPOSED to be lower 1/3 it's all up to personal preference I don't like lower 1/3 I like absolute co witness set up.

If you want absolute cowitness with the Primary Arms micro you can use the LaRue LT-660HK (medium height). Of course, adding a $100 mount to an $80 optic may not be for everyone.

The 660HK is what I run on my T1. If you like absolute cowitness its the way to go.

probly because of how the led emitter sticks out (2nd pic), you could barely see the front sight post when 1/3 cowitnessing

Correct. Because the LED block protrudes up into the tube, only the very tip of the FSP is visible when cowitnessing. It is annoying, but not a dealbreaker for me. I do want to try the Larue absolute cowitness mount, but it isn't my top priority.

Here's a pic of what it looks like with a Matech BUIS:

Got the Gen 2 blem with AR mount for $88.

Was not happy that they sold out of the Aimpoint M3 clone which was $8 cheaper overall, but this will do.

Should be arriving in the next two or so days.

Their M3 clone is great for the price, I like it more than their T1 clones. The
T1 clone is a great sight for the money though. Comparing it to my T1s, you can see that it is built with quality parts and that it has been well thought out. I have a T1 clone on a .22 build and had it on an AR pistol for awhile. It works great on both, zero is solid, and the sight itself has taken to the abuse pretty well.

Thanks and I agree.

I just got the Daniel Defense A1.5 fixed rear sight in the mail and installed it. The LED block does get in the way and is annoying. Might have to try the Larue 660HK then.
