Would this rifle be illegal to have in CA even if assembled with a BB? Also if I used 10rd mags
http://shop.hendersondefense.biz/product.sc?productId=193&categoryId=17

Also, I am assuming, from what I have read, that having a BB makes your "detachable mag" now count as a fixed mag and you can have a pistol grip on that rifle as well. Am I correct?

Edit: Reason why I am asking is because I am confused on the specific banning of AWs and series banning. More of an explanation of why I am asking about its legality. HK 91 is under Appendix A. The above rifle is a HK-91/G3 type, according to that website. But its a CETME G3, which I did not find on Appendix A, B, or C. So yeah, not sure if it would be considered banned or not

That would be legal with a BB. If you want to swap out the flash hider for a comp/brake, then you could also use one of the Solar Tactical grip wraps and NOT use a BB (because it would featureless.)

Although I would probably prefer to use a BB than lose the pistol grip(and have to replace the flash hider), that's a good idea that I didn't think of. Thanks.

Only the CETME "made in Spain" but most CETME's, like the one Henderson sells uses a US made receiver. I don't know who exactly makes them but CAI ones are off list.

Yeah but like lugee said that is CETME made in Spain, but its also only for the CETME Sporter.

I have that same gun from a Calguns group buy and the receiver is clearly marked:
CETME SPORTER .308 CAL
CENTURY ARMS INC.
GEORGIA, VT USA

I am also going featureless with the Solar grip and IGF brake:

For about $650 including transfer this is too cool.

Just looked up the CETME Sporter and realized its the same gun, I did not know that before lol. Luckily its manufactured in the USA. I think I will stick with the features and just use a BB. A BB does not seem that inconvenient to me. It only would be if I was in a huge rush to change mags(which I wouldn't be)
Even though it is ".308 CAL" can i use 7.62 NATO rounds? I heard they are different by a minuscule amount and are interchangeable.

Yeah, .308 rounds are actually hotter than 7.62 NATO (opposite of .223/5.56 NATO), so you're good to go... and I agree with the BB setup - if you need more than 10 rounds of .308 to do what you need done, then you may need to rethink how you're doing it.

I have that rifle.

Gets the testosterone pumping!

Set up near someone with a wimpy AR-15 and make some NOISE! Their little girly "rifle" goes "plink" mine goes BOOM! The second shot, half the time the entire firing line stops and starts looking around trying to figure out where the hell that BOOM! is coming from....

Havent taken it to the range in awhile since I need a BB.

Yes you can shoot 7.62 no problems.

Better than 308 actually since nato surplus is cheaper and you dont want to reload brass from that gun anyway. Fluted chamber puts longitudinal dents in the case- (actually the case swells in the flutes) also a big dent in the side of the case because the er "positive ejection".... the brass tips around and the side of the brass smacks the back edge of the ejection port and launches the brass 25-30 feet. I've heard of people reloading brass from that rifle but I wouldnt do it. I just shoot surplus.

Stand on the right end of the line so people dont get mad about the brass hitting them in the head 20 feet away. Never done it, but always wanted to turn it sideways "gangsta style" to see how flippin high the brass would go......
