Great deal, thanks for posting it!
Wish I had the money, this would make a great starter rifle for my girl friend.

Here ya go - I just saved ya $40!

...but seriously, I have no idea what happened. This guy posted in a couple places and people asked questions and someone mentioned Blackthorne (generally not considered good) and then the guy got pissed and disappeared. That's all I know - enjoy!

My .02. Please research blackthorn. Or blackthorne on here or google before you buy. Also read other posts by this guy. Its a bad deal dollar wise and quality wise. Pasted from what I emailed a couple of folks. I guess its not thread crapping if there is no content

I would also like to know if anyone has purchased this manufacture "Blackthorne." I was interested in getting the 24" Bull Rifle Kit.

blackthorn = hesse = vulcan ... plug any of those in Google and do ten minutes of research - that should answer your questions!

Stupid question:
Whats the difference between fluted, ported, coated and a combination of all 3 when it comes to the barrel???? Quick search came up with no results.

To answer your question I have purchased a kit from them and had several problems. The delta ring was loose so I had to remove the entire gas block to tighten the delta ring. When I started to tighten the delta ring it would not tighten enough for me to put the gas tube back in and I practically had to hit my armorers wrench with a sledge hammer to get it to tighten to the correct position. Before any of this happened my bolt wouldnt cycle correctly because the head spacing was in correct. Blackthorneproduct=very poor quality control.

I also purchased some ak rebuild kits from them but when they came most were rusted and dented.

The next time you try to broker a deal that's available to the public, make sure not to copy and paste the product info directly from the website you're getting the stuff from. All someone has to do is copy and paste it into a search engine and find out exactly where you are gettting it from.
