View Full Version : AK47 Muzzle Brake OR Flash Hider

I have a Red Lancaster AK47 with mag lock installed and I just picked up a solar tactical grip cover. I need to know if my slanted brake can be considered a flash hider? I want to make sure that I don't create an AW by definition.

AK slant brakes are muzzle brakes by definition, but they are a countable part under 922(r) so make sure you include it in your tally if your rifle has any foreign-made parts in it.
They sure as hell don't hide a flash, but on the other side of the coin, they don't do much on semi-auto so if you're paying money for yours, you could look at other brakes in the same threading.

I just want to build it featureless so I can get away from the annoying mag lock. I seriously have to fumble with mine for a bit when I'm at the range and it is starting to annoy me. I love my saiga for this exact reason.
