Hi,

I'm new to the board, but are there any manufacturers producing the 6.8mm SPC uppers? I see a lot of .223 uppers, but hardly any 6.8's available.

There are a few companies making 6.8 barrells, but not too many. Are you thinking you'd like to assemble your own upper? or are you looking at buying a complete one.

There are a few companies that are doing 6.8 complete uppers that i can think of off hand.

Model 1 has a 6.8 upper, BravoCompany has 6.8 upper, DPMS also has a 6.8 upper.

Search around on ar15.com please.

Uppers and magazines aren't a problem. However, good luck trying to find commercially loaded ammo. I hope they become more readily available. I'm considering a 6.8 SPC upper also.

Has anyone here heard of Eagle Firearms and how do they rate in quality? I see that they offer a 6.8mm upper assembly with a chrome-lined barrel.

I have a " CAL 6.8mm SPC" marked lower, it's kind of a novelty. It WILL be built into a 5.56mm. 6.8 is pricey...20 rounds for $12....ouch...

Barret makes a 6.8 rifle for the IDF. Not certain if they sell uppers separately.

They say on their web site that they do sell uppersó$1500.00

I spent $1285.31 not including shipping or tax to build my 6.8 SPC upper. Another $668.02 for optics and mount.

I'm going to change out the PRI/MSTN QC muzzle brake for a YHM Phantom and have the barrel refinished.

Will a 6.8 upper fit on any .223 lower?

What mags do you need for 6.8 rounds?

In general any platform upper will fit any lower with use of a adapter if needed.
