The SHOT show is in Vegas, which is in Nevada, a state that borders California to the east.

Can you give us a quick update after the meeting regarding the "state of affairs" of all things California legal? Thanks!

Never made it down... :(

Will there be an update posted? I think I'm gonna head down Spring Mountain Road and get a massage in Chinatown. The seem to have a lot of legit looking massage places; Not! ;)

Heading to the OMB party at Margaritaville. I will post a wrap up of the meeting in the FFL Forums since it was pretty much a CAFR affair.

Sorry to butt in, but I am wondering if there is a concerted effort afoot by the California dealers and attendees of the SHOT show to push/educate the various manufacturers on the Kalifornia "Off List" issues? I mean, for Colt or another big name company to start manufacturing bullet button equipped rifles as Kalifornia Compliant would be a huge win for us.

CGFers/CGers are working on that.

That's actually today not a huge issue as many brands are coming in thru distribution and these guys are making mods or just shipping separated halves in and the FFL installs the BB.
