Migrate between San Jose, Davis, Fresno.

Pragmatic Libertarian values.

We have much talent on this board, if we sit down, put resources together, we will achieve much.

I work evenings, generally available daytime, as we grow, I would be willing to meet with press, elected officials or anyone else on issues of concern to our group.

Many in the public have misconceptions about gun owners and many trully don't understand the real reasons why the RKBA is critical to the survival of the rest of their rights.

I've been doing a once a month range trip to either Chabot or USI lately.

A few friends and I will be at one of the 2 on either the 27th of Feb or the 6th of March, depending on when more people are free.

It would be cool to get a bunch of Calgunners together for meet.

Thoroughly convinced that whoever invades, when they invade, will do so upon the uninhabited, and unattended, beaches of the west coast, much like my own. Myself and several other wilderness survival enthusiasts have spent years honing our skills of living off the land in Montara. Armed for years with high velocity/caliber pellet rifles, and several bows, we have mastered the hunt of the rabbit. The upgrade to firearms serves only as a defensive precaution, our close proximity to rural areas demands we carry out our everyday expeditions with the continued use of our pellet rifles. Present project is to put together a CA legal AR style rifle in 308 caliber. Like to keep it under 10lb and as accurate as practically possible (including $ constraint). Advice and suggestions always welcomed.

I'm just a college student.
But I always bring someone shooting with me, to date I've taught 9 people who have never shot a gun before the basics and there have still been no accidents or safety rule violations. What's better is that some of them are actually interested in buying guns of their own now.
That and I have a pretty good understanding of the convoluted gun laws in this state.

What's up BA Calgunners? Alex here. I would like to again thank Calguns for the best forum of any kind on the net, and one that has led me to build a couple CA-legal AR's, one in 5.56 and one in 308Win. The smell of the love of Freedom is quite strong here.....Knowledge is indeed power.

Anyway, I rode sportbikes for 20+ years, started with a GPZ750 and moved right up to a FI GPZ1100. Been all over the Western US.

Love shooting reactive targets. Tannerite, jugs of water, pumpkins, steel, etc. Kinda spoiled. Only go to ranges to make sure I'm sighted in and fully operational.

I have permanent trigger-finger nerve damage on the pad tip, from touching the barrel of one of my 308 semi-autos after a 100-round mag dump. Quite proud of that, how sad.

Shameless plug: Work HVAC, need a new furnace or ductwork? Send me a PM.

Last July I hit a deer on 108 by the MMTC near 395 at 70mph or more on a sunday morning ride on my '08 CBR1000RR. Crushed the right side of my body pretty bad, glad to be alive, very lucky too, I think my expensive gear did its' job pretty well. I'm still working out at my home gym as part of rehab.

Welcome aboard -- the forums is a fun place to heal up in :)

There are a few clubs in the Bay Area that offer IDPA matches. There are a number of Calgunners on here who can steer you to the right range. Have fun!

Actually, despite the size of the Bay Area, there is only one club that offers IDPA matches (Richmond). The take place every other month.

http://www.richmondhotshots.com

Otherwise, you need to look to Sacramento for monthly IDPA matches.

Alright folks - I'm posting here because I know that the folks who've posted in this thread are subscribed and will (hopefully) receive an email notification of this post.

I've got 6 petitions to nominate some of our own Calgunners to the CRPA. I need to fill them up.

You can come to me. I can come to you. I can email you one that you can email back (with your signature - of course).

If you're not already a CRPA member - become one. It's easy. It's cheap and IIRC it satisfies one of the requirements for the CMP (Garands! WhooHoo!).

Let's get this done. Let's show folks what we can do when we're working together.

Send me a PM or email me at jdberger [at] hotmail [dot] com.

Let's do this.

Hi Mike, thanks for adding your name and skills to the list.

Are you a CRPA member and if so, have you had a chance to sign the six petitions? We're not quite at our goal and would appreciate your help. Time's running. Please see JDBerger's post above yours (skip a few back) for more info. Thanks!

All right, I guess I'm past due for signing in. Our shop is in the the SF Bay Chapter (Morgan Hill,) but I live in San Benito County. I'm a former AFM/AMA road racer, avid big game and quail hunter, and most importantly, a father of 3 and devoted family man.

My wife and I run Franklin Armory, which is a state and federally licensed firearms manufacturer of "California Model" AR rifles. Our business model is designed to introduce a quality AR product in a manner that reduces the liability for Ca gun shops. (Some of these shops have never carried an EBR until now!) We're hoping that our efforts will benefit the Calguns community (and our own bottom line) by expanding the avenues by which customers can purchase the AR platform. More owners = more voters on our side. :)

Active from Walnut Creek to San Ramon
I target shoot pistols and rifles, used to do Tactical Handgun matches at Chabot, and occasionally shoot Sporting Clays and Trap.
My background is as an Automotive Service Consultant/Assistant Service Manager for luxury vehicle dealerships.
Hobbies include playing pickup Basketball, track days (cars), vintage R/C cars and trucks, shooting, and reading.

I'm a member of the NRA and the CRPA.

I'm currently available to volunteer to help Calguns in any way I can. I'm good with computers (word processing, web use, desktop publishing, etc.), and I enjoy talking to and working with people.

I would like to see the CRPA and the NRA improve the process of putting together better/more accurate voting information (ratings on candidates, etc.) as quickly as possible, prior to elections, so that we can strengthen the votes for our cause.

I'm also a little frustrated with the NRA ILA because the EVC (Election Volunteer Coordinator) for my region is vacant.
