This has a locking one way zipper, uses a key like a handcuff key to lock and unlock the zipper. Would it, with the zipper locked comply with 12025 and 12031 pc if sitting on my passenger seat of my car in a public place? Anything I'm missing or violating? I had a LEO tell me the mag can't be loaded. It's my understanding it just cant be attached to the gun.

The cop was wrong. (http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/FAQ#Can_my_magazines_for_semiautomatic_handguns_ha ve_ammunition_in_them.3F)

Also:

Use the "8 year old" test in determining if the case is secure enough. Can an 8 year old break into that case without the use of a tool? (http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/index.php/FAQ#Is_a_.22secure_locked_container.22_defined_any where.3F)

No key, no entry without destroying the case.

Then you're sorted.

dead eye answered it with the link. Ammo+gun can be in the same container. Do not take legal advise from the police since they are not qualified to give out legal advise.

slick container, got a link for it?

edit: nevermind, looks like the Dillon Plan B (http://www.dillonprecision.com/content/p/9/pid/23863/catid/14/Dillon__039_s___039_Plan_B__039__Day_Planner)

I would go communicate with that LEO's supervisor and if it was a super, go one rung up the ladder. CA is already a blatant violation of 2A, but if people allow incidents just as yours to go uncorrected CA will be District of Columbia.

I, too would like to know where to get one of these. I have the Dillon Plan B but this solution seems to be better, if I could get rid of the obvious padlock that I use now.
