Turners has had the Kimber Warrior II on sale this week for 1299.98 (50 bucks off regular price). I certainly cant afford that in one shot right now, especially since we're saving to put my little guy in private school. But they do have 60 day layaway, I recently had a SIG on layaway for about 4 months and long as I made a payment every so often, they didn't seem to mind. I once had a Colt 1991 on layaway there for damn near a year.

Ive been wanting a railed 1911, and I'm pretty happy with my other two Kimbers. With Wilson 47D, CMC, and Tripp mags they've run damn near flawless out of the box. The last day of the sale is tomorrow, and I've been waffling back and forth all week on this one...thought I would ask for some input.

What sayeth the mob??

If you really want it put it on layaway, make payments and call it a day.

Good luck on your decision. :D

will they really let you put stuff on layaway more that 60 days? do you tell them ahead of time?

I thought they offered a 60 day layaway but my brother put a pistol on layaway with them recently and they only offered him a 30 day. Might be a new thing they are doing.

It's nice and tempted to get it, but must resist and stay the course ;)

If you're not fully paid, they won't release the gun, am I right? So if you get the gun after 60 days, what happened to the rule that if you don't have the gun in your possession within 30 days the dros will be cancelled, and if you still want it, you will re-dros.

They dont start the DROS until it is fully paid.

They won't, don't start the DROS until it's paid in full to avoid that issue.

Is Turner doing a layaway plan? If they are, I'm going there tomorrow....:auto:

If you make an honest attempt to pay them, and are honest about your situation, they are going to cut you some slack. Just talk to them ahead of time.

If I hadnt just got a MCO, I would be all over this. Guess Ill just wait for buds so i can do a 90 day lawaway.

I know DGM has a good layaway plan. I don't care for the place much, but they do have good specials once in awhile.

Well I did it, I put the Kimber Warrior II on layaway, Mas at Norwalk was very helpful as always. On paper it's 30% down, 60 days layaway. The manager, who seems like a good dude, confirmed that as long as I'm making payments once in a while, they dont fuss too much over the layaways.

I've been contemplating doing the layaway or just saving up the dough for a new gun at Turners for the longest. Does anybody know if I started layaway on a gun I want that was advertised on sale will I get it for that price or the original price?

If you place a deposit while it is on sale, you will get the sale price.

If you place a deposit at regular price, then it goes on sale, they will usually honor the sale price, and adjust your paperwork accordingly if you bring it in during the sale.
