View Full Version : WOLF 7.62 in FMJ, Hollow or soft?

Will be purchasing my first case (1000) of Wolf 7.62X39 for some general plinking and taget practice. It will be for my SKS and was wondering which bullet will be the best? I'm leaning towards the FMJ at this point. Sorry but I'm bit new to this.

I have used both in my yugo SKS both worked fine. I also have a CZ bolt action carbine that REALLY does not like the Hp ammo. Something along the lines of eight inch groups at 50 yards. With FMJ it is more like 2" your mileage may vary.

My guess is that it doesn't matter very much for the SKS. The FMJ and HP should have similar accuracies. Also, Wolf HP is not known for expansion (thick steel jacket), so difference in terminal performance between the two is not much. In my SKS, I get 2-2.5" groups at 50 yards with the Wolf hollow point.

I believe cheaper than dirt has some in stock.

damn, I am still waiting for a couple cases from sportsman's guide. They have been backordered for awhile.
