Whats up with this company? I know they are made in the Phillipines, but is the quality comparable to RIA? They seem to be less expensive than RIA's.

Here's one for $425:

They look good if nothing else.....

I love the competition. RIA, Citadel, Firestorm are all 1911's in the +-$500 range. Your email is the first I've heard of a Firestorm. I too am in the market for a cheap 1911 45. I hope someone can give us some first hand experience.

Didn't see the Firestorm DLX/American Classic II on, "the list", so I am looking a bit more at a RIA Tactical now.

I have a Firestorm 1911 GOV'T and mine works just fine. I have never had a ftf/fte. The finish work is rough. It's not as pretty as the big names but it goes bang every time I pull the trigger. It groups fairly good too but my pistol shoots about 2" high and 1" left from point of aim. I haven't had any work on it yet. I like the fact that it's cheap, it works and I don't have to worry about it getting banged up or scratched. I'm sure I could put different sights on it and tweak it up a little but I'm happy with it just like it is. I say if you're looking for a cheap 1911, go for it.

I have not shot the RIA but I hear they are great guns!! You can't go wrong either way. In the end, you are still a winner because you're getting a 1911.
