Is the cluster rail system available for seperate purchase? If so, where can I get them and how much is it?
As of a month ago the posts I've seen said Springfield wasn't planning on selling it seperately.

The SA link is for the Scout forward mount, not the cluster rail.
I handled a SOCOM a few days ago, I thought the cluster rail was a bit too much weight up front, and that was before anything was mounted. I think the same could be accomplished with less.

I concur with that assessment.
ditto here, when I handled it at the reno gunshow it felt like someone hung a ten pound weight on the end of it, plus without a foregrip it is uncomfortable to hold, and we all know the legality of a foregrip here.

Impact Guns list them for sale $375.81 But, they are out of stock. I don't belive Springfield has them for sale seperately yet. I just got my Socom II and it's great. The bottom of the rail is removed by spring lever for easy removal.

Gunrunners had one on the display case last time i was there. Personally, i dont think i would ever be able to go through with buying a SOCOM. I tried someone's at Burro one time, and yes they are great shooters, but i cant get past the fact that for all of that money i can get a nice early '90's standard and a crate of surp.
