hi all, i know a little bit about specific guns and am trying to broaden my gun knowledge. as of now i have a springfield XD and marlin 795. i was wondering if there were any AR style guns in .22. if there are, are they legal in CA? if yes to both where can i view or purchase one from? thanks.

I guess it's ok if you're into ***-specific guns.

Local gun sotre has an AK in .22, looks just like your regular AK, even the magazine is oversized for loks. I had to ask the dealer how the hell he was selling an AK in california and he politely informed me that it was a .22.

Here's an idea:

1. Buy a california legal .223 Self Loading lower reciever

2. Put a .22 rimfire conversion kit on it like Ben does sometimes with his JP Rifles!

AHA!

I wanted a Lakeside mini M2HB so bad it hurt..

Hard to pony up $4000 for a toy though.. but it's SOOOO COOL!
Maybe if they start producing them again in the future. The AR belt-fed .22 upper is pretty darn cool in its own right!
