I thought I would give the King one more try. I have shot them before with ok results but it was blackhill reloads which are good but not the best for my guns. So I bought a few hundred from Midway but now i'm not sure how much powder to use.

I'll be loading with H335 and I thought I remember reading that 22.5gr - 24.5gr was the safe range to work in but I can't verify that. Could someone double check that for me. Also if you have a load you like with the matchkings let me know. I'm open to try new things

Thanks

PS
I'll be shooting them out of a savage with a 26" barrel and a FAB-10 with a DPMS 16" bull. Savage likes them hot, DPMS likes it slow. Both are 1/9

For an AR, Sierra says that 21.2 is the starting load and 23.8 is the max load. Bolt gun data says start at 23.0 and max at 25.7. Hodgdon probably also has data at their web site.

The Hogdon sight doesn't list the 69 gr SMK in their load data. Closest they have is a load for 70 gr Speer Soft Points: 21 grs to 23.5 grs.

Thanks Ted, I was going off of a 68gr speer bullet from what I remembered.

You up for shooting this weekend? :D

I was planning on it, expecting a new stock by Friday. A couple of projects came in that I need/want to get out of the way before the end of next week.

Now that I am out of the country, you guys go shooting!
