I think I would like to go up to Burro canyon
Especially because as a Kid My family lived on the
inner edge of the east fork... About a mile
or two before the end of the road opposite side
of the river (THEN).

I havent been up there in Yearsssssssssss.

Just an FYI: The Inland Fish & Game rifle and pistol range is currently closed for sound 'improvements' as part of a lease renewal stipulation with the BLM. It has been closed since November 28 until now. They may be open back up just for this weekend (Sat and Sun) depending on how much work is not completed yet.

So before you decide to head over to the range, call in advance.
