Whenever you plan to shop at Amazon.com (think Christmas, birthdays, graduations, etc.), you can support the NRA. There is NO INCREASE in the cost of your merchandise. All you have to do is go to the NRA homepage, http://home.nra.org/#/home , click on "Shopping" in the left column and on the middle part of the webpage, several mini-pages will appear offering you shopping options. Clicking on the Amazon mini-page will then transfer you to the Amazon website and tell Amazon that you arrived via the NRA's homepage. Amazon will then donate a small amount from your bill to the NRA without increasing your bill.

Edited to update w/current process as of 7 Oct 2010.

Amazon has turned out to be quite 2A friendly. They even show a firearm  in their Kindle commercial. I had to rewind several times to make sure I wasn't hallucinating.

Giving this a bump since the holiday season will be coming up.

I'll try to remember to give it another bump in mid-Nov and mid-Dec.

Thanx for the bump. I didn't know that the NRA was set up that way.

I'd be even more interested if CGF/CGN were doing that.

You did notice that something like a third of the people on Calguns (probably more) and most of CGF Board of Directors are in IT, right? :)

Missed this the first time around. I was just thinking the other day that CGF ought to setup a few affiliate programs.

bump to the top since, w/the election behind us, some early purchasers may start thinking about Christmas presents.

Yup. CGF makes terrific use of its funds.

No kidding. What a lame site. This is a big-time national organization, and yet I have to wait almost 30 seconds for a page to LOAD (what year is this, 1996?) before I can enjoy a "world class online experience"?

Their web designer is probably the same kind of guy who thinks outdoor TV shows are enhanced by the worst kind of canned heavy metal guitar that the guys at Guitar Center would be ashamed to play in public, and who think every scene change should be punctuated by the sound of a gunshot. Less is more, people! :)

I will, however, follow the link to Amazon for my purchases. Thanks for the tip.

Great idea. This looks like it will work very well for the NRA. Amazon is well liked and they sell just about everything.

Many complain about the NRA constantly asking for $$$. Well, it came out a few weeks ago that they spent $20,000,000 in campaign ads in 2010! Read that again: twenty million dollars! And we had a LANDSLIDE of pro-RKBA politicians elected to federal and state offices around the nation. (Not sure if they participated in local elections.)

If you're going to spend money this holiday season, you might as well help reload the NRA's warchest for the 2012 campaign season.

I'll bump this one more time a couple of weeks before Christ-mas.

Am I blind, or can I really not see how to do this.

I go to the NRA home page, then to the shopping section on the left. After that, I'm lost. I don't see an Amazon thing anywhere. Button, window, etc.

I buy from Amazon more than anywhere else online, so this is great to hear about. I'm going to try to get all my family to do this, too.

Done. After you click on "shopping", click on the little dots underneath the NRA Store picture to rotate to Amazon.

Talk about being blind, could they make that printing any smaller?

I did that, but didn't see the Amazon one. I'll have to try again, thanks.

After spending another 5 minutes trying to figure it all out, I finally realize I'm scrolling through the 'mini-pages' on the right, and not the smaller ones in the middle...I didn't even see those. I guess I'm just holding true to my name :)

Also, is this on ANY purchase? Like baby diapers even? Or just gun related merch?

Let's keep it easy for everyone.

Just use this direct link as your amazon bookmark.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/homepage.html/104-0482038-4929528

That's the NRA affiliate number being passed in on the URL.

Awesome!!! That will for sure work? I was thinking I could bookmark that, but wasn't sure if it was actually showing that it was routed through the NRA page.

Yes, you have to click it, don't try to copy/paste.

Once it opens, set it as a bookmark.

I think someone above said it already. 2/3 of us here are IT guys.

A "Cyber Monday" bump, esp important since a carry case probably won't be decided by SCOTUS until AFTER the 2012 election.
