Just picked one up for $499 in San Jose. Which mods should I get for performance and aesthetics?
Thanks for any advice.

Most are replacing the foregrip with the compact stock option. Then comes the obligatory EOtech (I've even seen an EOtech on an M1919 heh) optical sight. And then a tactical sling so it looks REAL evil. And oh yeah get a cool muzzle break.
Just whatever you do, remember NO FORWARD PISTOL GRIP. Put lights on it or whatever else but as long as you don't put a flash supressor or forward pistol grip you're OK.

I was checking out the eotech website and those sights run above $300. Are there less expensive models out there? I would also need the scope mounts from the Kel-Tec website correct?
How do I know which muzzle brakes fit and where is a good place to buy em?

****, I think purchased the SU-16A model instead of the CA. My stupid *** was sure the only legal one was CA so I didn't even bother asking.
What are the differences and can I still add all these mods?

yeah, i was going to say $499 is pretty cheap for a CA.
It's okay i have the alpha model too, wish i had purchased the CA as well. But really though, just get out and shoot your SU16. For $500 bucks, it's tons of fun to shoot at the range
differences are plenty. CA is 16" threaded barrel, the barrel is also slightly thicker which would help dissipate heat a tad. the sites are the MAIN issue as the alpha one has weak plastic ones. Other than that they are the same.
My alpha has the compact front end, EOtech site, and i put also bravo sites on it as well.
Eotech mounts directly on the su16 rail. but it will not co-witness

Can you cancel your order? I'd do it for sure. The A model can take the new forend but the barrel is not threaded and you have to deal with that silly front post. Many have cut it off which looks fine IMO....[EDITED].... My dealer has let me change my order for a rifle before. Something about the DOJ allows one cancel or change. If they have a CA model on hand your dealer may be able to call and just say they got the S/N mixed up and just give the new Ca model numbers.
.......Edited part about sights. Forgot about the bravo sights.....
If your in the 10 day period you will lose some coin. No more than 75.00 dollars though. At least 25.00 dollars for the DROS.

Nevermind, I was able to order the CA model instead ($570). If it doesn't come in however long I choose to wait I can pick something else up instead.

$570 still not a bad price.
Can I ask where from?

Sportmen's supply in Campbell. $499 for A and $440 for B model.

That is interesting that the A model is more than the B. In fact, that A model price is sort of steep and that B model price is pretty darn good. I would sell the A model for about $430 or so and the B would cost around $460. The stinking CA models are no where to be found and they would run about $506 from me. I am a long way from the Bay though so I don't know what the market is like up there.
I need to take a picture of my A model sight modification. I cut the front hood in half and now it looks like an HK front sight. The red dot on my red dot was hitting right at the top of the hood, but it isn't now!

I think that may have been a typo, it was probably $540 (which is too much).

On my CA model I put on the compact forend, EOTech (no need to order parts, the EOTech mounts directly), Levang Compensator, Sling Swivels, and a Specter Gear tac sling. Nice handy little package.

Ok I am new to this Kel Tec Rifle, and these rifles sure look like a whole lot of fun at the range. Could someone tell me which Kel Tec rifle is legal to purchase in Kali, and which model do people recommend?

A, B, CA are all legal here.
CA seems to be the most popular due to the front sight being on the gas block and the threaded barrel. It costs a little more out of the three but most feel its worth it. It really is a fun rifle you can shoot all day and can take care of business when Zombies walk the streets :D
