I usually buy from Midway if I can't find it locally but I would like a couple more places to compair online prices. Where do you shop online?

Well I have to start looking into this since I just got a used-but-nice Dillon 650.
Lotsa Dillon stuff you might as well order direct from Dillon (or from Brian Enos' website).
Otherwise Midway and perhaps Brownell's have the standard RCBS dies, etc.
As far as brass? Shotgun News has lotsa small vendors selling quality, cleaned (and sometimes deprimed) once-fired brass in various common calibers. Starline brass sells direct, I believe.
Given I've seen the light at Sportsmen's Warehouse in Reno, I may just stock up on powder there (given Hazmat shipping surcharges) and get bulk primers from Miwall at gunshows.
Still have to look into bullets.

D'oh, thats what I need right now too. I agree that buying powder and primers locally is the best way to go.

I used to only buy local. I'd drive to the Costa Mesa or Ventura gun shows to buy my components (bullets, primers and powder) so I wouldn't have to pay shipping or hazmat fees. But a couple times Miwall was out of the powder I wanted and I realized how much I wasted on those trips in gas, parking fee, show fee, and time. I realized that if I could put together a big enough order, I could come out pretty close pricewise and not waste my time at the stupid gun shows around here.
So that, and because I wanted to start using Vihtavouri powders, I now buy powder and primers (lots of it per order since it's a fixed $20 hazmat fee) from Powder Valley (http://www.powdervalleyinc.com). Their prices may not be the best on everything, but they're pretty good and they have a great selection so I can get all my primers and powder from one place. I only reload for handguns and I get once-fired brass off of ebay and I usually buy Zero bullets from ghostholster.com. I've also driven over to Golden West in El Monte for bullets. But given the awesome flat rate USPS boxes now, bullets aren't really an issue.

I'll second Powder Valley for powders and primers. The last time I placed an order they told me that they can ship up to 50 pounds of stuff under one $20 hazmat fee.
I noticed yesterday that EABco (http://www.eabco.com/) has volume pricing for VihtaVuori powder and Lapua bullets. I'm going to have to investigate that as I'm intending to use both in my 6.5-08 bolt gun...

I've tried a variety, but I always go back to Berry's Bullets for, well, bullets. They have very uniform, clean bullets that seem to work very well for my plinking purposes. I buy their plated products, typically the double struck versions. Shipping is included in all of their bullet orders and they have always been very timely with shipping and delivery.

Hey GOBABYGO, how is delivery from ghostholster? Pretty quick? I'm thinking of ordering some bullets from them...
I've used Graf and Sons throughout the years and they have always served me well.

I joined USI Gun club in Concord and they sell all reloading stuff at cost plus 10%, so I am told. I pay 14 bucks a box for primers etc.........it is really a good deal!
Thanks Rokitt88.

I've ordered powder and primers from powdervalley, very fast service, great packing, and 1 hazmat fee.
I also bought a few thousand once fired brass from www.brassmanbrass.com and found them to be very polite and since they are in Vegas, shipping was very fast, 1 day of transit time to the Bay area via UPS ground.
Still looking for a better supplier than midway for bullets, but until I find one, they are treating me right and I have no real complaints. I only load non-lead, so I'm paying more no matter what.

They're pretty fast. It partially depends on Angus's shooting schedule, but they ship the Zero bullets via USPS Flat Rate Priority so once they ship it it's pretty fast. I think it's been at most a week between ordering and receiving my bullets from them.

A good place for bullets (such as Rainier, a good plated one).
I usually order 4K, at least.
$9.00 flat rate shipping.
They also carry reload stuff like primer and powder.

Good shooting.

My club usually does a powder-and-bullet buy a couple times a year, I got the Dillon stuff (tumbler and separator) locally (Imberts in San Carlos) and actually saved money on shipping - there's not really any price-difference between them and dealers cost/prices.

I buy all my reloading stuff locally and in bulk. Shipping can be a deal killer on on-line ordering.

Easy for you to say from Louisiana.
I would be surprised if CA didnt have a lot more reloading suppliers that fly under the radar. I never would have known about the local supply places here if I hadn't started shooting USPSA. Those guys are so high volume they have to reload and look for the cheapest deals. The guys I buy from have no websites or storefronts. In fact the guy I used to buy lead bullets from casted them in his garage (until it flooded from Katrina). They are avid shooters themselves and enjoy supplying others so the sport can thrive. I would think some of the local USPSA guys in CA would know of similar places to get reloading supplies on the cheap. State matches are often places where these small dealers can be found selling stuff. Not everything is on the internet...yet.

I just remembered, Trigger Hill in Salinas has a nice reloading section. I have bought from them before but don't remember the prices. Anyway I bought 500 223 bullets from Midway.

For more reasonable prices within a reasonable driving range, you might (just might) try Markley's in Watsonville. I'm not sure their prices on reloading supplies are lower than bay area standards, but supposedly their prices on guns are very good compared to the bay area. From the south bay (San Jose), it is about an hour; from San Francisco about 2 or so.
They also have a very nice indoor range, with a good selection of rental guns. So going there for a scouting trip is unlikely to be wasted time.
:D
I'm less then 5 min from them. Thats like my second home where I know everyone and they know me. I buy everything I can at Markleys and only order online if they don't have it first. They are great people who have helped me with more questions then I could ever count. One employee even lent me his personal reloading dies and other tools to try before I bought them. You just can not beat that service. Although Markleys has lots of reloading supplies they do not always have just the right bullets gr size that I need so thats why I started this thread. If you have not been there before its well worth the drive. Its a big shop with great service.
