I'm going into my pissed off grumpy old man mode.
Look at this map and tell it's not a disgrace. Come on guys. Get off your lazy @$$ and get something done.

When what gun rights we have left goes down in flames you'll have no one to blame but yourselves. Let's get things rolling on this now.

It's amazing that the more rural counties do not have volunteers. Perhaps they don't have internet access? ;)

One of the things that would help there would be to get people near gun shows in those areas to hand out some info.

Keep in mind that in the counties where there are volunteers, these counties make up 87% of California's population. Therefore we have access to the number of signatures we need. It's just a question of logistics now being able to go after getting them.
I do, however think it's EXTREMELY sad that McDonald's is having better luck gathering signatures for its McRib petition. How sad is that when the population of your state is more concerned over losing the McRib than losing their 2nd Amendment Rights?

Yeah, but all the unrepresented counties are the hard-core conservative shall-issue CCW counties. So we have a few volunteers in LA and the Bay Area... that doesn't mean we're necessarily going to get hundreds of thousands of signatures out of those areas.

Kind of makes you sick to your stomach doesn't it?
I bet if it was a petition requiring the state to furnish free coffee and donuts every Saturday we'ld already have 50,000 volunteers.
It's seriously making me consider something i thought i never would: getting the hell out of here when i retire in 5 years.

Hey the 2nd amendment infrigement in this state is just one of the more visible ways the Democratic People's Party that rules the PRK usurps your rights.
When my brother from Ohio was visiting he found out he couldn't get into a single bar around here, buy alcohol, use his credit card, use a PRK branch of his bank, or even rent any movie rated higher than PG-13! Gotta have PRK ID around here if you want anything.

Just send an email to Dave at rkba@sonic.net with your contact information (name, phone, email, or any combination thereof). He'll add you to the volunteer list and you'll start getting weekly updates.
