View Full Version : CCW in OC reasons.
Alright, so I want some opinions on this.
If you use NRA pistol instructor (transport guns for work), and frequent shooter (can get a signed letter). Would this be enough to justify a ccw for the OC sheriffs dept.

I have read that someone in OC just put down frequent shooter for the reason alone and still got approved.

You gotta have paper!
If you say your a instructor, they want proof. If you are a avid shooter, they want reciepts showing you going to the range alot.
Just gotta back up your story.
Chris
i can get the range guy to sign an affidavid attesting to the fact and I am going to get the guy that teaches the NRA pistol class to do the same.

Yep, that should be good enough. Just say something about how you're an avid shooter too and how you transport several guns at the range at night in a darkly lit parking lot, etc.

I'd think that this would be easy. It's not really a secret in the OC that the "Avid Shooter" reason works. NRA instructor should be an even better reason than one that is pretty close to a sure thing.
will do guys, I need to take the nra pistol cert class first and also talk to the gals down at psd.

When you talk to Janet and the other gals, I've been specifically instructed to not hit on them. I hear that it happens more than you'd think. Just be professional like you were on a job interview. You probably don't have to wear a suit, but just don't dress like you fell out of bed.

why would people hit on them in a business or professional enviroment.

Beats me, but it's happened enough to need to be mentioned in the CCW Course!

When I did my interview, Janet was not in. But another young lady helped me out. She was nice and very helpful. The interview was only about 5-10 min's. I dont see how you whould have enough time to "hit" on her :)
