Long guns (except for a-salt weapons) are not an issue in CA since they don't track the serial numbers.
If you purchased the firearms in CA and did not fill out any forms saying that you no longer owned the firearms, I would think that there is nothing that you would need to do since these firearms were sold in CA and nothing was changed to say otherwise.
As long as you legally transport the firearms, you should not have any problems. Make sure that they are unloaded and in a locked container. It is "safer" have have the firearms locked in the trunk in a locked container.

There is nothing to do. The guns were purchased in California and DROSed, so they are already registered to you, no paperwork, no hoops to jump through.
