Sometimes I begin to wonder if all our reactions to a fringe Politican's ill-concieved bill that this destined to be defeated soundly in court is giving him power. On his personal page he brags about big lobbys and corperations comming after him (and really... why wouldn't they when he does things this silly).

Mr. Daly isn't even an attorney of any serious experience, nor does he have the kind of legal background neccessary to write a law of this magnitude. Yet by putting it on a ballot in an off-year election just look at all the attention he's managed to attract.

I have to say that the bans in Columbus, OH on semi-autos... Chicago, Washington DC were all _MUCH_ better written and conceived in states without preemption laws or legal precendents that strike down such bans. This is propaganda paid for by tax payer dollars. When Mr. Daly chose to put that law up and even on the books he chose to leave pot-holes on the road and ignore his other constituants.

He can fight his battle and lose it, and he can lose the tax dollars of those who put him in office. IF he does lose he'll look like a complete moron and will not be re-elected in all likelihood due to the tax dollars wasted. It's up to us in the meantime to NOT glorify him.

Yes, we shouldn't glorify him, we should expose this *****hat for what he really is.
A moron, so that people will know better the next time. Education is what is needed, so people can start thinking for themselves.

Keep in mind that what looks like "being in the limelight" and "glorified" to Chris Daly and his supporters looks more like "Hey! Democrats really will try to confiscate all of my guns if they ever get the chance." to the rest of the country.

Many Democrat leaders are probably pissed at Daly because he didn't read the memo they sent out that said Dems need to pretend to support the Second Amendment for a few years until they can get Congress and the White House back.

After this last election I am really starting to believe Ca is a lost cause.

Yes all we are doing is glorifying Daly to the people that already worship him and his elk. However that is part of the reason we need to keep going and try to stop things like the San Fran Ban.

Education is the key as others have said. Unfortunately most people now days do not want to be educated. They would rather have someone tell them what to do and think. Our world has been overcome and dominated by the willfully blissfully ignorance of the masses.

Like many (most?) pols, Daly likes attention and is pandering to his perceived constituancy.

I'm sure he considers this to be "one for the resume", regardless of final disposition, and will reference it as he attempts to climb ever higher in the byzantine world of San Francisco politics.

Heck... at least the guy is above board about his political leanings!

Contrast that with those who try to APPEAR as pro-firearms rights whilst they are vote whoring, only to morph into the Bradys' best friend once the last spent chad dings off the floor.

Glorifying? No.

Let's just hope this is his one and only five minutes of fame. ;)

Proof that they should allow hunting in San Francisco...;)

Who were we talking about?
When people go off about the idiotic things some public figures say, especially the fringe ones- I think the best thing to say is "who is that?" No one really gives a damn what David Duke has to say anymore....

On his personal page he brags about big lobbys and corperations comming after him (and really... why wouldn't they when he does things this silly). You have stumbled upon a great truth, grasshopper.

Someday when you are brave enough I will tell you a terrible story about a thoroughly spineless and generally useless creature who worked as the mayor's GOFER in San Francisco..... and when a looney toon shot the mayor dead, she climbed onto his still warm body with crocodile tears streaming down her cheeks and announced her bid for mayor.

That monster has grown to become a United States senator and goes by the name of FeinSwine..........

Being "anti gun" is the "Cape Kennedy" of Kali politics.......
