It's a cool concept, but I can't really think of a practical use--a .410 with cylinder choke is near worthless for almost any hunting purpose. You could throw a sack of poodles through that shot pattern! It wouldn't be my first choice for home defense either; a 20-gauge is far more powerful and versatile (you get roughly 2/3 the muzzle energy of a 12-gauge, with only half the recoil), and can still be handled by most shooters without much difficulty.
Also, just as an aside, the author asserts that "at across-the-room distances, even a load of small birdshot is a very effective stopper." Actually, that is bunk. Birdshot does not reliably penetrate deep enough to hit vitals, and can not be considered a reliable manstopper. Stick to slugs or buckshot. Birdshot is, well, for birds!
It would be a cool novelty, but again I can't think of a practical use for it.

If only it also shot .45 Colt like the Judge does...
Otherwise I'll stick with dedicated shotguns...
