It looks to be just an upper, so should really be in the parts forum.
Legal for sale in this state; but don't bring it into your house if you already have a AR rifle and no AR pistol lower, otherwise you may be prosecuted for constructive possession, a federal felony.

Go figure, I don't know, I purchased it on this site from california

I just looked up and found, California does not have a constructive possession law for short barreled rifles, so the fed law applies. I have tried to price this upper so you can afford to pay the $200 for the stamp.

I just looked up and found, California does not have a constructive possession law for short barreled rifles, so the fed law applies.actually, both CA and the feds have constructive possession against SBR.
12020(c)(2) As used in this section, a "short-barreled rifle" means any of the following:
A) A rifle having a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length.
(B) A rifle with an overall length of less than 26 inches.
(C) Any weapon made from a rifle (whether by alteration, modification, or otherwise) if that weapon, as modified, has an overall length of less than 26 inches or a barrel or barrels of less than 16 inches in length.
(D) Any device which may be readily restored to fire a fixed cartridge which, when so restored, is a device defined in subparagraphs (A) to (C), inclusive.
(E) Any part, or combination of parts, designed and intended to convert a device into a device defined in subparagraphs (A) to (C), inclusive, or any combination of parts from which a device defined in subparagraphs (A) to (C), inclusive, may be readily assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person.
I have tried to price this upper so you can afford to pay the $200 for the stamp.a normal person in CA is not gonna be able to get an tax stamp for a modern SBR.

If I lived in California, don't think I would screw with this upper, maybe unless you could find a pistol lower???

This is legal to own if you have a pistol lower. If you don't own a pistol lower don't touch it. I'm interested in it but can't afford it right now.
