Another forum member showed this to us a month or two ago and was asking about the legalities of him allowing his friend (who owns an archery shop) to borrow his OLL for purposes of displaying this.

It seemed that some of the California laws created gray areas about this device since the serialized lower is considered a "firearm".

But it's hella sweet!

Super dupe.

Have you seen what those cost though? They're more than a lot of very nice 5.56 uppers... more than complete rifles in some cases.

They advertise heavily in American Rifleman and other publications.

i'm really confused since it costs more than a crossbow and you still have to pay for a complete lower

it's just a novelty with no real value over existing offerings.

Not only do you still have to pay for a complete lower, but when was the last time you had to DROS a crossbow? If I'm gonna put that kind of money into an upper for a lower I had to wait 10 days for, it had better shoot bullets...

Welcome to Shot Show 2009 :) I thought it was cool and handled it at last years show, a bit too pricey though IMO.

Has the ammo shortage gotten that bad?

LOL funny thing is bolts cost so much more than ammo... and they get messed up pretty easy...

Doesnt use bolts. It uses full size arrows. 1" grouping at 100 yards

Its possible, we can hit this soda can all day with a bow:

Crossbows would be cooler if you could use them during bow season for Deer....

(...unless they changed that rule  )

Lot of states are finally realizing that the older hunting generations still want to hunt during archery season but cant pull 60-70lbs bows anymore...so alot of states are allowing crossbow during archery season....I hope they soon pass that in CA too. Just got back form NC and its passed there, but wont be in effect until next years season.

There are good crossbow all over the place. Why you want to carry the liability of a rifle/firearm lower to it..? But since i have a lower already... look pretty cool ;)
