Haven't put together a formal usage manual yet, so did the short cut with video. Due to the special Microtech Tool required to remove the factory bolt for the magazine catch, this item will be a dealer install item only.

Wow, very nice work! I was thinking of maybe ditching my STG for an E4, very neat.

Do it! :D

Looks good!
Dealer install only kinda sucks. How much is the MSAR tool?

I am unable to procure the tool in quantity at all straight from them. Therefore, I am assuming the tools will be limited.

It's a special 3 prone type of bolt that they use on their Microtech knives.

Cool! One more option! Keep 'em coming radd!

But what I think I'm hearing is that you'd have to have a special tool to remove it in a free state, and that typically only dealers have these tools?

It is just to loosen a screw, it is a little hex screw. No different then using a screwdriver to remove an A2 buttstock.

That doesn't sound like a special tool to me...

...what am I missing???

Interesting.
I'm digging the E4. I will definitely buy one from ratworx when I save up the cash..
I guess someone could make a similar tool, man has been making their own tools for centuries, let the race begin.:D

I have not seen the E4 stock, but there was no way to design the release to be similar to the STG-556?

Radd,
Will your raddlock also work on the new AUG/A3 that Steyr is building here in the states?

Actually come to think of it, does anyone know if that new Steyr will be legal here in KA or since its got the Steyr name its banned?

This should work

NOPE, it won't!

Please don't send people to buy this stuff, unless you used it yourself or 100% sure it works. Microtech Security Bolt is not mentioned in that kit.

MSAR E4 uses Microtech proprietary 3 hole security bolt. There is no aftermarket tool for it. You must get it from MSAR.

Now I find prices only after asking.

I'm seeing $1,500 as the average. Would that be considered a decent price tag?

I've seen between 1500-1900 depending on location and seller. The higher prices I've seen are from dealers

$1300 at Ratworx, I think that includes 5 mags and a pelican case.

Just shot one of these today. Really cool looking, a lot sturdier in person, comfortable ergonomics, but the trigger is terrible. Long, grindy, HEEEEAAVY pull. Also, the mags don't drop free on the bullet button press. You have to press and yank, making mag changes a real pain. Did I mention the trigger was terrible?

But hey, barrel changes are a cinch, the design is killer, and it looks badarss. Maybe someone will come up with a trigger "fix".

Isn't that their holiday sale price only though?
