hello i am new to the forums and have a few questions about ar-15s. i am looking to purchase an ar-15 and was wondering what your felings are about the smith & wesson ar-15s? there is a local shop here that sells the S&W ar-15 for $1000 minus any sights. is this a good deal and solid gun? or should i just build my own or look at a diff manfacturer?

thanks for the info

yes i bought one , it shoots pretty damn good, but after about 120 rounds the trigger acts as if it stuck on safty so i sent it back to smith and wesson, i will post again how long it takes them to fix it and if its fixed properly.:o

Cant go wrong with the M&P. Thats a pretty decent price, hard too find too! I sent a hand gun back to S&W and had it back within a Week! I want to say closer to 5 days, they overnight it both ways!

thanks for thr info. i was curious if its a solid gun or not plus since its already complete it would be more convenient than bulding my own. hopefully i dont have any problems with it but if i do it seems like S&W has good customer service.
thanks
