View Full Version : Need advice on what bi pod to put on my ar-10

Well I have about another month and a half at the earliest till I receive my Armalite AR-10 receiver, Armalite QUAD RAIL RIFLE HANDGUARD KIT FREE FLOAT with it's new Barrel from Krieger Barrels and was wondering what bi pod to get for it. any suggestion? I was looking at the Harris S-BR Bipod Sling Swivel Stud Mount 6" to 9" Black from midway but I know nothing about them.
Also any ideas on scopes that cost around 350.00 or lower

Harris makes very nice bipods at a rather reasonable price. If you're putting it on a quad-rail, you will need a sling stud on your rail. You'll also want a Pod-Loc for the swivel.

You could also go with the LaRue re-built Harris with a built-in QD rail mount.

Either way, you want the BRM (leg notch) version

Atlas bipod, I got mine from Triad Tactical. I am glad I didn't get the harris, while the Harris is a nice bipod the Atlas is on another level.

Any bipod that mounts to your barrel would be a last resort. It will put pressure on the barrel and throw the harmonics of the off. I like the Harris but after using the Atlas, I have changed my mind.

The good old Harris is a very nice way to go. Great product and not too much $.

harris has a rock solid reputation for the public and military alike

It's extremely lightweight, but it lacks the flexibility one would like for a precision gun like a 308
