Only put 30 rounds through it with the irons at about 40-50yards. I need to find a better place to shoot near me.

Not sure yet. Haven't had a chance to take it out since I got it. The only place I have to shoot is a ranch with my cousins relatives and it isn't very good no real backstop to shoot against. Need to find a better place to really have fun with it.

I like the butt part of the gun, just yesterday I got it in my head I want to build an ar-15 after i decided not to go ahead and buy an m1 garand from big 5.

Is this a complete list of parts? how much was the total investment?

The VFG is pretty good. Very strudy. I just wish the base wasn't so long. Going to have cut a KAC 4rib rail cover down to a three to fit behind the grip.

I prob paid lets see...

Spikes Tactical Upper (5.56, 1/7, CL, Carbine gas, 16" barrel, M4 ramps.)
Rock River Arms LPK
Doublestar colorfilled lower
BCM spring, buffer
BCM extractor upgrade
Prince 50 bullet button
Magpul MIAD Grip (Battery Core)
Magpul Trigger Guard (Aluminum)
This cost me about 700ish.

Eotech 511 rev F $280
Magpul UBR Black $258
Black 10/30 PMAG M Series $22
KZ VFG Black Stubby. $30
ARMS #40L BUIS $110
Daniel Defense Omega Rail 7" Carbine $260
KAC Rail Covers and DD Ladders $20
MS2 Sling $50
This cost me 1030$

So 1700ish total.

Thats really nice Ar man. You have BUIS, a holo sight, vfg and yet it looks perfect with not too much going on. I have seen some Ar with same setup but it looked like too much. Pretty nice Ar

Nice first build :D A touch of class, yet it looks like a KISS build ;)

The only thing I kinda want to do to it still is have it duracoated so it all matches. The lower doesn't match the rest of the gun. Its a shiny black while the rest is flat black.

You can also see a big piece of the coating is scrapped off on the deflector. The port cover has a defect on the side and it scraped the deflector. Need to get that filed down a little recoated too.

The deflector will eventually get all scuffed up, that is it's main duty to deflect spent cases. I know it is a very nice AR but things happen to them, as far as the color matching that is not a big deal. It is your rifle so if you want to have it duracoated/painted it is your right to do so. After you take it out a few times you might not even care that the color is off a tad ;)
