Feeling like a total n00b...

Can someone make me hip to what Panoche is, where it is, etc? I would guess it's down in San Benito county, not far from Clear Creek and Idria (2 places I go for rockhounding, camping and shooting - BLM says it's fine to shoot at Clear Creek as long as you are 1/4 mile from any road or trail and otherwise safe).
