View Full Version : Rem 870 Express and Wingmaster
Hi,
since the recent discussion about magazine extensions for a 870 came up, I decided to ask a question I have had for a long time. What's the difference between the 870 Express and the 870 Wingmaster, besides the price? From a functional standpoint, are there any differences? Thanks.

Two things come to mind to me:
- Finish
- Plastic trigger group in the Express
Other 870 experts will I'm sure give a better answer.

fit and finnish. The Wingmasters are much more precise. Better wood and blued metal.
Quite a bit of a jump in price for what it is in my opinion. I'd rather spend a few dollars less and buy a Browning BPS

Goto the http://www.thehighroad.org and do a search in the shotgun forum. There has been recent discussion on this and the differences were explained in detail. There is someone who post under I think dfariswheel who is quite knowledgeable on firearms design technicalities esp. it seems on shotguns and Colt revolvers.
