i don't have a c&r the buyer does. we are both in california. can i ship the c&r rifle direct to him? it is over 50 years old. is a signed copy of his c&r all i need to be legal? thanks

You don't even need a copy of his C&R FFL to be legal because the rifle won't be crossing state lines.
But getting a copy is still a good idea so you can show that you sold the rifle to somebody who isn't prohibited.
He will need your name and address for his bound book, but I imagine he already has that if he mailed you a check.
