I like to do a barrel reline on my broomhandle by Redman in Washington state. I need to send the barrel extension and the bolt to him. What is the CA law governing this? Can I ship the parts directly out of state for "repair"?

I've emailed DOJ for clarification, but we know it may take quite awhile to hear back.

Any information is greatly appreciated.

don't see any reason why you couldn't send them to him. Niether the bolt or barrel extension would be the controlled item, the frame/receiver, AFAIK. So, assuming that to be the case, you could send the parts to anybody.

Besides, Redman is an FFL so you can send firearms directly to him UPS and he can then return directly to you.
