In the process of removing my front "A" frame sight so I can put a flip up front I managed to "f"-up my muzzle brake. I did not notice the wrench had a crack. As I applied more force to turn the brake it expanded and scuffed the finish on the brake pretty bad.
So now I am looking to replace the brake.
Would this: A) Be legal in CA? and B) would it fit a AR15 Stag upper with a screw on type brake?

A)Yep, it's completely legal in California on a featureless build or otherwise.
B)Yes - make sure you get a crush washer with it.

I will have to add that the agressive front end brakes/Flash hiders really do a number on the inside of your soft cases.

I'm assuming that means you have a bullet-button on there, which means anything you stick on the front (up to and including a clown that juggles chainsaws) is perfectly legal in CA. Go crazy!

"Featureless" means any build that does not have a flash-hider, pistol grip, VFG, adjustable stock... obviously, that does not apply to you! ;)

Since you have a bullet button, you might as well get a full on flash hider. Something you might want to consider.

Recommend making some kind of cap to slip over it.

i don't think its legal to put anything orange at the tip of your real rifle. something about camoflaging it to look like a toy.
