Hi Guys,

I've got my lower assembled, LPK/BB ready to go after DROS, and complete upper so all that's left is the stock. I can't swing the PRS right now so I'm looking to go with an A2 stock for now. For the individual pieces will the normal AR15 stuff work (buffer, spring, etc.)? I am looking for a complete kit if anyone has a link, otherwise I'm going to order the pieces where I can find them. Any suggestions are appreciated, I'll post pics when I get it built.

As a side-note about the prices coming down I only have $1085 in it to this point (all-in price including shipping and DROS) so if I can find the stock kit cheap enough this will be a $1,200 DPMS LR 308 built on a CMMG lower. When I started this one shop said to build would be at least $2K and they wanted $500 for a stripped lower, I won't hit $2K even with top-quality optics if I can help it.

I've got a VLTOR on both my DPMS .308 and my Robarm XCR and love them.

This is the VLTOR stock on my .308 and it's a lot lighter than it looks.

Is it the same stock regardless of AR15 v AR10? I would have thought the AR10 buffer tube, stock, etc. would all be bigger than on the AR15.

A "top-quality" optic alone could cost you $2K ;) Congrats on getting your build done so cheaply though.

Same stock. The buffer is bigger, but I can't remember if it's the same spring or not, I'm having a brain fart right now.

Honestly if I were to do it again, I would stick with the A2 stock. I have a PRS right now which is much overkill in features which I don't use and price. I havn't adjusted the length much and the eye relief and height is just the same as an A2 for me.

Thanks Sicarius, I agree for $200+ a stock should give a HJ as well.

I have used the Emods on all my builds and they are great. I am going to throw a PRS on my next one. Can't go wrong with Vltor.
