View Full Version : H-S Precision HTR 308 Experience

I had the opportunity yesterday to fire a H-S Precision HTR model rifle in 308. This is it here.

It had no muzzle brake or the rail system near the scope. I have very little centerfire experience (maybe 300 rounds), and never saw this rifle before. Was shooting 168 grain handloads. Recoil was pretty healthy, but manageable. I was amazed that with a scope (Leupold) that I could not focus to my satisfaction (cross hairs fuzzy), and the cheek piece and length of pull not set for good comfort, I still shot my first (and only) 5 shots into a 1/2" group at 100 yards.

It may be a $3,000 rifle, but I have to say, that thing is accurate.
