mags count 3 parts , if you change it you have to play the 922r. unless you can get a russian 30rd mag (which i do not know of ) , copes dist. sells 30 rd rebuild kit US mags , u can modify it to make 10/30. as far as i know no one makes 10/30 for saigas.

Why would he have to play the 922r thing if he doesnt add a pistol grip/give it unsporting features?

If I can get my hands on some american magazines I will be making 10/30s.

few things here, first your saiga will not accept any mag other than stock saiga mags unless you add a bullet guide. Once you do this then you have to do the 922r dance, look for 69mach1 to chime in here at some point, he is the sensai on saiga stuff. I would look him up and PM him, the guy set me straight a few times too. Adding a pistol grip is not the only thing requiring the 922r dance, (i have the .223 version) and I went on various websites until I found someone to get me a good deal on a few saiga mags... unless you want to go through the full conversion hassle. Like I said though, talk to 69mach1 he will fill in the gaps.

Surefire Mag (USA company) makes aftermarket Saiga magazines.

In order to legally use a magazine with a capacity greater than 10 rounds, you have to comply with Federal 922r and with CA assault weapon laws.

You could purchase a 30 round aftermarket Saiga magazine "re-build" kit and make it into a 10/30 round magazine to use in a Saiga. A 10/30 round magazine would not require compliance with Federal 922r, since it is a 10 round magazine.

Actual 10 round magazines are less expensive than 10/30 round magazines.

Henry you just need the saiga parts kit and inserts to make a 10/30 since you are leaving it stock. Let me see if the ak inserts will fit in saiga magazines. Will post once I find out.

Any more info on this? Would like to add 10/30 maybe from a rebuild. Does it require 922 or not?
