I want to get a good rifle for target shooting at the range and some varmint shooting but it will be mostly just at the range shooting for fun and accuracy. My budget is $700 to $750 locally i have seen for sale Howa CZ ,Ruger, Remington vtr, Savage and Weatherby vanguard, rifles but i my local ffl says he can order anything i like.

Caliber does not matter a whole lot because i can reload.A the ffl said he does not think in that price range it will make much of a difference accuracy wise what one i get .I am just wondering what every one here thinks is the best in that price range .

They're all good rifles. I have been on a real Savage binge lately, just bought a .25/06 to go with the .30/06, .30/30 (bolt), .243, and a combination .22LR/.410. All of them shoot as well as I can.

I have had nothing but awesome experiences with Savage and CZ rifles. The CZ 527 varmint I own now is amazingly accurate and the quality of the rifle is awesome. My Savage is one of the best rifles I've ever shot.

With CZ and Savage you cant go wrong. IMHO.:)
