Lead Lobber

I got this thing from Cabellas about 3 lustrum ago. I had no idea what I was doing, and loaded it with (too much, probably) pyrodex and a .44 lead ball.

It failed to fire; I figured I did know what I was doing, so I hung it on the wall to make my home office look like a macho taco. Percussion caps are fun; without a load of powder and lead, one can relive their childhood.

At least the one piece wood grips are fitted perfectly, like the Colt hard rubber on my Colt SSA revolver, circa 1960.

To make a short story even more boring, the old 1860 won't even lock up, due to many years under the wind of my evaporative cooler. But it still looks great on the wall above my desk.

I'll put that new camera to work shortly and post pictures of my modest collection of pistols.
