I think it would be best to remove the optic and learn to use the iron sights, and then put the optic back on and use it

nice rifle

Sweet now it's time to start thinking about #2,3,4,5,6 . It's addicting. You can't own just one.

Not everyone is mechanically inclined. There's something to be said for just picking it up at your ffl.

Nothing wrong with not building your own. I was just too danged cheap to go that route the first time. And once I built one, well, it's like potato chips. And that is a nice looking rifle. Go learn to use it. And use it to figure out what you might like or not like on the next one. And the one after that. And the one after that...

Congrats man. I bet you're stoked.

Don't shoot it with that optic up there though. When you're ready to use the optic, remove the carry handle and mount the optic on the receiver.

The optical sight looks very tall from the comb of the rifle. You may not have a good cheek weld for it when you shoot with it. Other than that, it looks nice. ;)

It is similar to mine, except, I have mounted an EOTech and BUIS on the rail, not on the detachable carry handle.

I have a 2T, great rifle. I have about 1000 rnds through mine so far without a single failure to feed, fire or eject. I fired about 500 rnds on our last range trip this past weekend without a single squirt of lube, other than residual from the last cleaning. The thing is surgical at 100 yds with my Eotech or BUIS. I want to take it to a longer range soon.

All that being said, I'm building my next one.

Jyruiz got his from DD's Ranch...they usually have Stags in stock, no waiting list.
