Questions on getting a Class 1 FFL

Regarding Class 1 FFL

1.) Provided you are eligible and have all your ducks in a row is it something that will automatically be approved or can the city or county simply deny you without cause?

2.) Do you actually need a storefront, zoned, business address? (I know people who do it out of their homes...is that a thing of the past and a few old timers flying under the radar...or is it still possible to achieve?)

3.) What's the total cost of fees involved...fees for government, county, city, lol...all the hands that want a piece of the pie.

4.) Aside from business costs (lease, etc.) are there other costs unique to having an FFL (special insurance?) and if so how much?

1. Yes, the city/county says the final word on you doing business - cause not needed.
2. Yes, city/county makes the rules.
3. Really it's not that bad when you find a city that wants the tax revenue - ?
4. Any commercial lease will want you to carry 1,000,000 in insurance, Expect to pay for more.

Plus there are HAZMAT fees and inspections (ammo is toxic)... blah blah blah.
