over longer periods of time, don't prices always go up and never come down?

it'll go down when people stop buying cuz of AB 962 (assuming it doesn't get repealed) and the start handloading or buying out of state. I'm ok with giving my fingerprints, they're already on file from my job, just don't like the idea of only being able to buy so much per month...anyone know if that BS actually made it through? i haven't seen the actual language of the bill yet.

There's a WalMart around the corner from me that has 4 x 100 round boxes of WWB for $19 and change each right now. That's under $10/50 so I voted yes.

It's at the corner of Cheyenne and Rainbow if you want to go pick them up.

No the 50 round thing was pulled out.

Edit to add you just have to find some place that has more than 50 rounds in stock! :(

I dont think so. Now it might actually be worth loading 9mm. Before it was just wak to reload 9mm if you just wanted to shoot.

no thanks - its a good 4 to 6 hours for me, and out of state. my Poll is for Cali - not other states. with my time and gas it will cost more.

I disagree. I think that if 962 doesnt get the smack down... we'll see some retailers just stop selling ammo, or at least "pistol" ammo. Finger prints, database records, paperwork, etc, etc... too much hassle/trouble for the $$.

I sincerely hope I am totally wrong.

I'm planning on reloading 9mm soon - I'm going to take a look at some recipes now and see if it is realistic - I think it is.

Definitely worth loading 9mm. Brass is plentiful, you've been saving your brass, right?

Bullets are pretty easy. I would suggest plated. Priced between jacketed and lead, you get good performance for a reasonable price.

Powder choices. I have a personal hatred for fast powders. I simply don't like them. I advise no faster than WSF, #5, HS6, W231/HP-38 (same powder).

HS6 will get you good high velocity ammunition. #5 meters like water. A max charge (work up) with a 124gr bullet will get you 1200fps without being in +P territory. WSF is dynamite in the 9mm (and other auto pistols) especially with lead. Silhouette is the same powder as the discontinued (and now rebranded) Winchester WAP. Cool, clean, good velocity. Silhouette is also great in .40 S&W and .45 ACP.

Next time call me and I'll grab them for you--then you won't have to speed and take your chances it's gone...
