Pelosi Halloween Health Announcement Hides a Trick on American Gun Owners,
says Washington Senior Rights Activist

WASHINGTON, Oct. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- "The Obama administration and its
supporters are using every trick in the book to undermine the gun rights of
law-abiding American citizens," John M. Snyder charged here today. "Speaker
Pelosi's Halloween government health care bill announcement only underscores
this reality." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdI_vBURwcM)

Shotgun News recently named Snyder the senior rights activist in Washington.
A former NRA editor, he is a director of the Citizens Committee for the Right
to Keep and Bear Arms and Manager of Telum Associates, LL.C.

"The current attempt to take over the American health care system by ramming
government controls through Congress among other things is a back door attempt
to get after Americans' guns," said Snyder. "Obama is trying to do an end run
around the Second Amendment under the health care rubric. His National
Institutes of Health already is positing an adverse relationship between
firearms and health.

"The government controlled health care program sought by Obama, Senate
Majority Leader Reid, and House Speaker Pelosi could be used by anti-gun
government bureaucrats to deny health insurance coverage to citizens who
possess firearms. Under plans currently being considered in Congress, people
could be denied health coverage simply because they owned guns. Bureaucrats
could determine that gun ownership constitutes a health hazard. This would be
a sleazy, dictatorial backdoor attempt to force law-abiding American citizens
to give up their guns."

Snyder said that, "The anti-gun political elite know it cannot directly attack
American gun rights. Gun ownership is too popular. A hundred million
Americans own 200 million rifles, shotguns and handguns. Americans buy over a
million firearms a month. Citizens have purchased 10 million since Obama
became president.

"Public opinion polls show Americans are becoming less and less enchanted with
gun control laws and more and more opposed to them. A recent Rasmussen
Reports survey indicated that 50 percent are opposed to stricter gun controls
and only 39 percent say stricter gun controls are needed. A Gallup Poll finds
a new low of 44 percent say laws on firearm sales should be stricter. That's
down five points from last year and 34 points from the high of 78 percent in
1990, when the question was first asked."

Sure. You don't pay for health benefits you don't recieve. However, you will be taxed at a higher rate if you don't have any health coverage at all. Pretty cool, huh?

Um, this isn't an article, it's a long quote. This is actually a press release masquerading as a news article, hence PRnewswire (as in Public Relations fake news stories). "News Flash (queue dramatic music) Obama maybe puppet of global, elite, secret, underground, hyper-evil organization that want's to harvest American brains and serve them with Fava beans and a nice Chianti says Dr Lector, respected psychologist and cannibalism expert". I wonder if this will be the new "All guns must be claimed on tax returns" e-mail that will be making the rounds. Gun owners have real problems to worry about.

This guy is a blowhard trying to drum up press for himself. And, by the way, generate donations for his PAC. Nothing like an invented gun grabbing scare to bring the dollars rolling in.

Gun owners have real problems to worry about.

Precisely. Self-important guys like this aren't doing us any favors. I'm sure he has ranted in the past about the UN taking our guns and other nonexistent threats.

There are no facts presented in that article, just rumors and hearsay.

It's like a world net daily story.
