There are soo many guns I want to buy, and I keep flip flopping between what gun I want to buy next.. I was planning on getting a .22lr semi auto.. Either a GSG5, COLT M4, or maybe even the M&P15-22 and modifying the mags to only hold 10 rounds.. But I now have the urge to buy a Saiga in 7.62x39 since that ammo is reasonable in price (of course not .22lr cheap, but what is?).

So, what would you guys buy next? I plan on buying both someday, so don't say that:) I currently do not own any semi auto rifles since I sold my AR. I like the saigas because they are cheap, and ammo isn't that bad. I like the .22lr for the obvious reason of extremely cheap ammo. Are the .22lr semi auto's as fun as the more "manly" 7.62x39? :D

I've also heard the saiga people have gone bankrupt, so it's a possibility they will quit making them. Not sure if that's true or not, but if it is, it might be smart to get one now incase the prices shoot up.

ok, so I'm not adding a poll. Just post in here what you think:) thanks

Saiga, since there's rumors of the company going bankrupt. Not to mention is has more uses if you needed a real rifle.

every gun owner should have a .22lr

the gsg-5 is fun, reviews are mixed on the Colt-licensed M4, and good reviews on the S&W-22.

I love my marlin 795, it always goes to the range with me!

On the fun-o-meter, how would you compare shooting a semi 22 to another larger caliber?

What are you going to use your rifle for?

just as fun, since the price offsets the "exploding produce" factor. the new tactiRAD 22's are fun and all, but you could build one like mine for $300 including dros, and be halfway to the saiga already (with the money you save...)

Have you looked at those new Ruger 10/22's built on a Nordic Components frame. SR-22 I think. They look cool. .22 rifles can be a lot of fun if you're on a budget.

I thought about getting a 10-22, but I wouldn't really care to change the stock and everything. ANd I have checked out the SR-22, they are nice, but I like the look of the S&W or Colt better. Then again, I would like to get the ruger sr556 so it'd be cool to have matching guns:)

And I'll be using it to just go to the desert and shoot random junk, for the most part.

EDIT: seems the price includes shipping.

I saw that. Very tempting! might as well just get 2:)

actually, AF has decent priced Saigas also!! Maybe I can get both and save on dealer fees.
