I ordered this morning a Mosin Nagant 91/30 Hex receiver Tula from Classic arms. The gentleman on the phone who helped me was outstanding. I will post pics when it finally gets here.

Wow this post seems like it was such a long tima ago. Since then I have bought 3 Mosin Nagants, a 24/47, an SKS, a turk 1903, and a kar98k. I may need counseling but buying more guns would probably be cheaper.

Did you get to choose from different years available?

I didnt ask about years but I did request a Tula on my first mosin. Since then Classic has actually raised the price on Tulas. im sure if you ask they would do their best. They seem pretty good.

Be VERY careful after you open and take it out of the box. You may be buying another rifle of the same or who knows what. It is for sure an addiction. LOL!! ENJOY. WELCOME TO A NEW WORLD OF SPENDING.:King:

Yup, I would think it's because in other states the C&R lets you purchase handguns and the federal age for owning a handgun is 21.

Here ya go. The first one is a 1936 Tula hex. I paid $135 shipped. The other is a 1938 Tula. I paid $99 shipped. I dont have a pic of the other one. It was a 1931 Izhevsk hex that i bought as a Christmas gift for my father in law. I paid $120 shipped for that one.

Also a word of advice if you order from Classic Arms. I believe the guys name is Gus, gets confused easily. I ordered the Izzy hex back in november. While calling periodicly to check its status as it was a Christmas gift, somehow I got put in for a second Mosin order which is how I got the 1938 round Tula. Imagine my surprise when UPS brought brought me TWO boxes when I only expected one. Imagine my wifes surprise when I told her I had no idea.
Also, Classic fails to call if there is a problem with your order. i ordered a yugo 24/47 with the accessory package and two weeks went by and no rifle. I called them and they were out of stock on the accessory package so my order was halted. I eventually got everything and the rifle was in outstanding shape but a phone call would have been nice.

Yep...they only ship C&R to C&R FFL's...won't even ship a C&R to an 01 FFL in California...I guess they don't know how to use the CFLC system! :D

Do what I did...get your C&R!!! $30 for 3 years, great discounts at places like Brownell's and MidwayUSA, and you get the heady thrill of having guns delivered straight to your door with no transfer fees!!! :D

And this exactly why I won't be buying any more C&Rs from them even though my FFL is on file with them. It takes 5 minutes to train a monkey to sign up to the CFLC system, so if the new owners won't support the 2A rights of Californians, then I won't be giving them any more of my hard-earned cash.
