Is there any way to distinguish the difference between these two springs? I just received my LPK and these two springs are almost identical except one of them appears to be tapered a little bit. Is the tapered spring used for the bolt catch? Thanks for any helpful advice!

There's a taper to the disc. spring. Wider end goes into the hole first.

You kinda answered your own question regarding the difference (disconnetor spring is tapered).

69Mach1 beat me to the installation for it

Thanks guys! I'm glad I asked first, I would have installed them backwards and probably jacked up my bolt catch! :p

I wish I could put my LPK in. Both of my DPMS LPK's came with two disconnector springs INSTEAD of a disc. and a bolt catch spring. :(

Disco spring is cone shaped.

I have heard DPMS is really good at that. I personally have never had an issue with DPMS kits but I've heard of stories like that.

I ordered an Armalite kit hoping that would make a difference and it appears that everything I was supposed to get is there. It seems like alot of people complain about the quality of the DPMS kits...

Have you contacted DPMS? I was missing a piece in one of my LPK's, called them & it was shipped out the next day
