View Full Version : Full Length Rail riser?

I came across this picture on Google Image Search. Turns out the rifle in this photo is airsoft (fooled me!) but regardless I'm just using it for reference in regards to my question.

Is it possible to get a full-length rail riser like pictured in this photo? Or is it part of the S.I.R. system? If I could find a riser like this that would be awesome. One reason why I want a full length riser like this is my Front flip up sight gets extremely hot after shooting because it sits right on top of my Gas Block. If I had a riser between the sight and the gas block, it would reduce the heat buildup big time so atleast I'd be able to flip up my front sight without getting burned. There are other practical reasons why I want this rail as well.

Thanks

Here is the picture with the riser:

yeah, thats just an ARMS airsoft clone...You can get the real deal, if thats what you are asking. I'm pretty sure of it.

Ya Im not interested in the S.I.R. system itself (although it looks pretty cool) I am just interested in a full length rail riser similar to what the S.I.R. system uses.

I think I found the right rail I need, but the length is 14" On my rifle, from the start of the rail to the end of the gas block is 15". hmm..

Ya something like this:
